
This is a combination of three beautiful treks taking us straight into some of the wildest and most picturesque areas of Nepal. Starting from the lovely hill town of Syabrubensi our trek winds through beautiful rhododendron and conifer forests through the Lang tang National Park on the way to the higher slopes. Our route then leads up to the high alpine yak pastures, glaciers and moraines around Kyangin. Along this route you will have an opportunity to cross the Ganja La Pass if possible (subject to weather conditions) from Lang tang Valley. The trail enters the rhododendron forest and climbs up to alpine yak pastures at Ngegang(4404 m). From Ngegang we make an assent of Ganja La Pass (5122m). This area is sometimes called Kelaung or Kelchung and can be reached from another series of huts at Dukpu (4023m). Next we head southwest, descending past Gekye Gompa to reach Tarke Ghyang. Otherwise we take a detour and another special features of this trek is trekking past the sacred Hindu lakes of Gosainkund (4380 m) crossing into Helambu via the Laurebina Pass (4610 m) to Ghopte (3430 m) and further to Trake Gyang. Along this route you will have an opportunity to experience the whole range of Himalayan topography as the trailheads south through a lush green valley before turning to Kathmandu. For many hundred's of years pilgrims worldwide have trekked to this region to pay religious respect at many of the 100 glacial fed lakes of Lord Shiva and other Deities.The lakes are situated at about 4400m. It is said that Lord Shiva, after drinking the poisons of the world, drove this three pronged fork into the earth to drink pure water to quench his thirst. We follow a rugged trail with dramatic views; to the west Himal chuli (7893m) Manaslu (8156mm) and Ganesh Himal (7406m). On a clear day, the Annapurna range can be seen rising up behind and to the north across the valley is Langtang Lirung. We pass a few huts in the high picture of Laurebina, cross a small ridge and have our first views of the holy lakes. There are about a dozen lakes in the Gosainkunda Basin, the main three being Saraswatikunda, Bhairabkunda, and Gosainkunda. According to legend, Shiva created Gosainkunda when he pierced a glacier with his trident to obtain water to quench his thirst after having swallowed a poison that threatened to destroy the world.
The Sherpa villages of Helambu due north of Kathmandu valley presents an easy getaway. This area because of its low elevation and the Sherpa villages make it an interesting 6 day loop. Starting with a short drive from Kathmandu to Sundarijal the trail to Helambu climbs on to the Shivapuri ridge from where there are sweeping views of the central Himalayas. Following a ridgline the trek heads north to Thare Pati before turning east toMelemchi Gaon and Tarke Gyang the principle villages of this area. From here we visit Shermathang before descending to the Melamchi river to end our trek with a drive Melamchi Bazaar back to Kathmandu.Moderate trekking between altitudes of 1,370m/4,500ft to 3,490m/11,500ft.Accommodation in comfortable lodges run by local families. The trek starts with a drive from Kathmandu and includes all meals, services of experienced trek guide and porters to carry luggage. Clients carry a day-pack only and walk at their own pace.

We commence our trek from Dhunche, on the well defined trail to Langtang valley. The view of the Langtang Himal crowned by Langtang Lirung (7545m) is rewarding. Trek highlights are Kyanjin Gompa, Yala Peak and Gosainkund lake.

Langtang accommodates Himalayan river plain which provide beautiful camping sites, spectacular peaks and wide glaciers. It is a holy place of Hindus where thousands of Hindus reach there trekking during summer to pay homage to Lord Shiva. A lake called Gosainkunda itself is situated here at 4380 meters. There are some other popular lakes near Gosainkunda as Nagkunda, Suryakunda, Saraswatikunda and Bhairabkunda. The route to Gosainkunda passes through varied landscapes ranging from evergreen forest to sub alpine grasslands where cascading waterfalls and beautiful mountains make an addition to its beauty.
It lies to the north of Kathmandu where dominantly Sherpa and Tamang races have their homes. The trekkers come in contact with temperate forests and alpine pastures, glaciers lakes and snowy peaks which sometimes give the feeling of heaven.
